A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. has appointed Carsten Ladekjaer [pictured] as Head of Operations Europe/Asia & Senior Vice President.

Ladekjaer will be based at the company’s headquarters in Middelfart, Denmark, where he will have overall operational responsibility of several of the company’s departments around the world.

Ladekjaer has several years' experience in the bunker business. He started his career with Dan-Bunkering 18 years ago as a trainee and worked for the company for 13 years.

In 2006, he was promoted to the role of Senior Bunker Trader at Dan-Bunkering. He then moved to the Middle East in 2008, where he became Managing Director and CEO at Dubai-headquartered bunker trading company International Bunkering Middle East DMCC.

Commenting on the appointment, Henrik Zederkof, CEO, said: "I am very pleased to have Carsten back in Denmark and that he will be a part of Dan-Bunkering again. The fact that he had been with us for 13 years before he decided to go abroad, shows that he already has thorough knowledge about Dan-Bunkering's values and procedures.

"With his background and the experience he has gained in connection with his five years in Dubai, I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to our company and its further development."

Yesterday, International Bunkering announced that Christoffer Berg Lassen had been promoted to the role of CEO, having previously worked as International Sales Manager.
